I travel for work and had a meeting with a couple of Illinois alums/fans. Their take on Bruce summarized
"Keep him, we don't want him back "
He was a better X and O guy than Self, but Self recruits so much better.
He had a history of not being able to win big games or tourney wins after Selfs players left.
He is a man on man guy until the death of him, will not play zone or change his offense to play against zone
Super nice guy, wants to be best friends with players. Not a good leader.
Has never developed players, the assistant coaches always did the most.
Brad Underwood has had a tough year but the fans love him.
Brad is going to be an amazing coach at IL
