If the CATS make the dance = Bruce will be K-State's coach next year.
If the CATS fail to make the dance = Bruce will be fired.
I'm cheering for K-State to win as many games as they can and make the dance... heck, if K-State beats ku next Monday, K-State will have an outside chance of winning the Big 12... say what !
This year's team is fun to watch and easy to cheer for.
So in an indirect way, yep, I'm cheering for Bruce too.
The one and only reason that I've given Bruce a little bit of slack is because of the Marcus Foster BOMB.
Foster had a great freshman season and then went off the rails his sophomore season.
And he took other players down with him...
Instead of being one of the team leaders, Foster was a nightmare his sophomore season (his negative influence on teammates ...and well = other problems).
You can point out that the Coach recruits the players, but no one foreseen the Marcus Foster destruction. We can all agree that the summer PRO tour that Marcus went on after his freshman season, started his downturn. To his credit, he has cleaned his act up and is doing well at Creighton.
I bet Nino Williams and Big Gip would still like to kick Foster in the balls for ruining their senior seasons.
The consequence = Weber had to replace 8 scholarship players in one year. Including Bolden, who suffered a career ending injury just when he was starting to show signs of development. And half of those players had to be recruited after the normal recruiting period was well over.
And two of the big men that Weber landed for the following season, did not pan-out. Dante Williams left the program to go home. And Isaiah Maurice, well he failed one too many tests.
It's a shame about Maurice, he was starting to do some good things last year, the CATS could really use him right now. Maurice has good size and had some athleticism. It also sucks that Love has not been able to develop because he has been injured every since he arrived in Manhattan.
But again, if K-State stumbles and does not make the dance = Bruce must go.
That said, I believe Bruce is going to be K-State's coach next season.
GO STATE !
