Last night's game:

-I was VERY proud of the Cats. Penalties and unforced turnovers were absolutely back-breaking BUT we had a lot of success with the zone read, some intermediate passing here & there.

-Offensive line (minus the penalties) might have had the best game of the season last night

- Defense had some major assignment lapses at times that led to quick TD's

- The defense also looked pretty dang good at times

- The front 4 did a nice job

- Some timely blitz's really rattled BU's new QB

- We have to give a ton of credit to this coaching staff for, once again, putting this team in position to beat Baylor......the execution failures fall both on the players and the coaches

Crowd

- Decent showing for a Thursday and all the other outside "factors" that could've affected attendance. Listed attendance was 52,108....my guess is there were probably 48,000 butts in the seats at the start of the 2nd quarter or so.

- The halftime exodus was absolutely PATHETIC & EMBARASSING

- 55 degrees with a windchill of 40-some is chilly, not cold

- If the score was flipped at halftime, the exodus doesn't occur

- This wasn't supposed to be a "throwback Thursday" to 1982 for crowd participation

- Our student section executed a perfect rendition of the "Jayhawk Walk"......disgusting

Quote of the night

- Retweeted Bryan Fischer (@BryanDFischer):

"Baylor’s offense has been held under 40 just twice in the past calendar year. Both times to K-State.

On the season:

-Everyone needs to quit pooping their pants

- Not as a comparison, but just to put things in perspective, the 2013 K-State Wildcats started the season at 2-4

- That includes a home opening loss to FCS North Dakota State

- In 2013, K-State became only the 4th FBS program to lose to an FCS and play in a bowl game within the same season

- This season is FAR from over.

- K-State football hasn't seen a rash of injuries like this since 2001

- This team is legitimately 2 errant Joe Hubener INT passes away from being 5-3 with wins over TCU & Baylor

- To be fair, the wins/losses don't fall completely on the back of Hubener or any individual, it truly is a team/program effort....and that includes FAN SUPPORT!

- Anyone with reasonable expectations likely called for a 3-5 record up to this point

- Bowl eligibility is a real & tangible goal

- Don't quit on this team!!!!

-EMAW!!!!
