Of the notion that we are always playing short handed from a talent perspective in football. It's annoying more than anything. Where are we playing shorthanded? Once again there is more than ample representation on the All Big 12 teams. Not just this year but over time as well. We have to be in the top 3 or 4 programs since the formation of the Big 12 in number of 1st and 2nd team All Big 12 selections. Our W/L record must be in that range also. Both possibly higher. Just guesses. Yet, there is the continual undercurrent of "we just need better players or we just have to recruit at a higher level or it's our miracle worker coach that coaches these bums into makeshift performers." Total BS. If you cannot look on the field and see that we have wonderful talent(under and upperclass) across the board then you simply don't want to see it. I'm not referencing this next example for any other reason than I think it so aptly describes our recruiting reputation and sentiment. From Trump's campaign manager Kellyanne Conway after the election and Trump's victory as it related to Hillary being in the lead everywhere and trump had no shot, etc,etc.... she said something to the effect that when the media says something enough and it's repeated enough that somehow it becomes the truth. Whether it's the truth or not. The truth in this example is that it wasn't the truth. Clinton lost. I will profess that the never ending KSU recruiting debate that I described above isn't the truth either. It is just static on the am radio. The proof is in the pudding. Not posting this to change anyone's mind so don't go off the deep end. Peace out.
