What is this board's opinion on this commitment. I'm sure most of you have seen the video on Cartier, but I hadn't seen him before today.
After just watching this video, I have to tell you, I am pretty impressed with what I saw and it goes beyond his basketball skills. If you watch him as he "shows up" some of his competition, he simply continues playing, doesn't bark at this opponent, and does it with intensity. His court demeanor, speaking over-simplistically, reminds me of Buddy Hield. His HOPS remind me of Justin Edwards or Wes Iwundu. His shot reminds me of Gilson DeJesus but with the handles of Iwundu or maybe even Stokes. Look, they're highlights so I'm probably overly excited but this kid looks like the best prospect we've recruited at the 2 guard since maybe Cartier Martin (not treating Beasley as a 2). I know Jake Pullen achieved far more than we expected based upon his recruiting stature but Martin, I believe, was a more touted recruit and I'd put Diarra in that category not to mention his athletic ability puts him more in Cartier Martin's camp.
Weber has sure seemed to be able to find some diamonds in the rough and I think this kid might be one of them. He'll certainly improve our depth at guard in a big way.
