Still on the Board:
1. Chase Lowery (Frisco, TX) - I had high hopes for Lowery...higher than Oladokun and certainly higher than Young. I thought Malone, priority recruiting for his position in his home state against the likes of Arizona, Pitt, and Purdue, would gain more traction. But DY keeps throwing cold water on the notion that there's anything to see here.
2. Trey Washington (Trussville, AL) - Things have been fairly quiet...DY says Louisville probably leads. Sounds like Mississippi St may be gaining ground. Mississippi also offered since his last rivals update. Seems to be trending down for K-State.
3. Myles Purchase (Englewood, CO) - Long-time target, reportedly recruited as a Nickel. Iowa State has become the primary competition after offering a few weeks ago. Don't know if he's holding out for more offers or the chance to visit or what.
New Offers:
Elisha Lloyd (San Diego, CA) - K-State offered this speedster last week. Other P5 offers include Washington St, Utah, and Boston College. Boise St, SDSU, and Hawaii are also in the mix.
Malik Rainey (Bolingbrook, IL) - Committed to Cincinnati over a bunch of MAC schools in mid-May. K-State offered last Thursday. Cincinnati is one of two schools he has visited (last September for a game; NIU was the other). They offered on May 6 and he committed on May 15. Has the feel of a kid locking in a spot at a school with which he feels comfortable, but may be willing to look around if/when things open up.
Edit: Rainey is a recruit with whom we've been in contact for months. He speaks about it in this article from February (fwiw I don't believe Virginia is still after him)...
"I have offers now from Virginia and Kent State. I've also been in contact with the coaches from Texas Tech, Kansas State, Nebraska, Miami of Ohio along with several other MAC schools."
Does Rainey have any upcoming spring visit plans?
"I have three visits I'm looking to make this spring. I want to get out to visit Kansas State, Virginia and also Kent State. When I visit a school I'm looking to just get to know the coaches better and I'm also looking for a school where I feel comfortable and at home. A potential school for me has to have the family feel and vibe."
