Central Arkansas Bears went 10-3 last season. This will be more than just a scrimmage and should give K-State just enough of a test. I suspect that even though they are FCS, they will be as good or better than FBS Charlotte 49ers.

They are projected to finish second in the Southland behind Sam Houston State, (who are perennially in the FCS championship game), and they are ranked #15 nationally in the preseason FCS poll.

Last season, they did not play a FBS team. Their best opponents were Sam Houston State L 23-59 and Eastern Washington L 14-31.

Central Arkansas gets everyone back on the OL, while QB Hayden Hildebrand is a veteran quarterback throwing for 19 TDs and 10 INTs and completed 60.4% for 3,051 yards last season. They also return their leading rusher and from last year, Carlos Blackman (No. 23), from what was a good offense (33 PPG). Kevin Momnohin is a juco transfer running back to possibly replace Antwon Wells who rushed for 10 TD's.

On defense, Central Arkansas lost their top two DT's off a very good run defense from last season. Look for standout cornerbacks Tremon Smith (No. 1) and Jaylon Lofton (No. 11).
