Your Kansas State Wildcats sit in the AP and Coaches top 25 to start the year. Returning QB that threw for 1,755 yards in 2016 and had off-season shoulder surgery. We return Our leading rusher in Ertz as well and what is perceived to be one of the more talented RBs we've had in a number of years in Barnes while also returning our top 2 leading receivers who combined for over 1k yards last season. Defense could be salty but a HUGE question mark at LB right now.
We take on the Central Arkansas Bears who were a respectable 10-3 last year, although they didn't play any major universities. Central Arkansas made the FCS playoffs where the handled Illinois State but got handled by #2 Eastern Washington. They averaged 33 pts per game last year while giving up 22. Ran for 2,433 and passed for 3,084. The rushing workload was primarily split between carlos blackman (currently SO) and Antwon wells(Graduated) so I assume we'll see a lot of Blackman. They will be lead by a senior QB in Hayden Hildebrand who threw for 3,051 yards last season and 19 TDs on 60% passing.
Sounds like a solid early test for the Defense.
