Much like everyone else on this board, I have thouroughly enjoyed the Coffee with Chris features throughout the season. But I’m curious if @Matt Hall or @Grant Flanders could comment on how interested he is in being a head coach again. I guess I’m wondering how our run to the Sweet 16, fueled by Lowery’s area of expertise in the defense, along with these interviews he’s doing each week, is helping get his name out there again.

I know Gottleib had floated his name out there recently as a candidate for the Evansville job. For Chris’ sake, I hope he gets another opportunity. But for our programs sake, I’d like to see him stick around.

And this point isn’t to slight Bruce Weber, but I’d argue he’s a better coach when Lowery is sitting next to him. In nine seasons with Lowery as an assistant, Weber is 202-101, and in the 11 seasons with out him, he was 235-133. The difference in winning percentage isn’t that wide, but take out those early seasons at Illinois when Lowery was at Southern Illinois and Weber had a loaded team with Bill Self’s guys and it makes a difference.
