It's official. I'm going to expect this team to finish in the top 3/4, win a game or two in KC and win a real NCAA tournament game - aka get to the round of 32.
I didn't like the Weber hire but said I would see how year 3 went. Well... I've been hoping for change since the roster blow up. I still have a lot of problems with Bruce as a coach and we have not handled prosperity well but it is starting to feel different.
This is the type of game that Weber has blown in the past. It killed momentum and the team seemed soft. Tonight they couldn't throw it in the ocean but responded with good D and rebounding! When UT took the lead almost entirely at the line I thought it was over.
Nope, Barry stepped up Big time!
Neither this team or this coach are great but they seem to be on the verge of doing some very good things. If they can build on this success by winning a tourney game then just maybe it can carryover to next year in a big way.
Time to drink the Kool Aid! Go Cats!!!
