- Coach says they have no doubt improved. The Big 12 is tough and they have learned that they have to attack teams differently and you always have to be ready. All along coach has talked about hope and staying positive.

- Mike McGuirl is very driven and wants to do well. He has been to Elite and and won a Big 12 but this year has been a much different role for him and he's embraced it. He's in the office watching film and talking to coaches all the time. He has learned how to play with a better pace and calmness.

- Going from 3 to 4 conference wins isn't huge progress but coach just wants his team to go out with a good feeling going into the offseason. Now that they have gotten some more results the trust factor has grown so playing good and getting a win will only add to that, and that is more important than just getting the 4th conference win.

- As far as practice goes they were off Sunday. Monday they did individual shooting, workouts, weights, film. Tuesday had a good practice. Wednesday was shooting and cold tubs. They had a good spirited practice yesterday with 10 bodies. Today is preparing for Iowa State. Hoping for a spirited and sharp practice today to get ready for tomorrow.

- Shutting down the Big 12 tournament last year was a very bizarre to him. Seems like it was just yesterday but it has only been a year. After beating TCU in the first round the team ate and watched film and felt good about the next game. But when coach went back to his room around 2am he saw the stuff on TV about the NBA and Rudy Gobert getting Covid. It was then Coach called the coaches and said he doubts if they play tomorrow. They had breakfast and scouting report but then got the text from Casey Scott and Gene Taylor that they needed to meet and everything got shut down. Weber never thought they would finish the whole season this year but once they play tomorrow they will have played all of their regular season games incredibly.

- Coach was happy the Big 12 rescheduled the Iowa State game. Coach has been preaching feeling good going into the Big 12 tournament with a good final regular season game.

- Coach says it is very important for the NCAA that we get through the conference and NCAA tournament.

- With the new transfer rule and allowing kids to transfer easily without having to sit out, Coach says it will make things different and he thinks it is sad. It will give guys reason to quit on their teams sooner than they ever would have before. Coach says all they can do is help his players grow and learn and hopefully they will figure out the best route for them.

- Coach thinks they have a good core nucleus, but said though that if there is an opportunity out there for them to get an experienced, older guy to help them. But it has to be the right person, but it would help them for sure. Coach points out how much transfers have helped Scott Drew, Chris Beard, and Lon Kruger. On the flip side Bob Huggins has been able to keep his nucleus ironically one of their better players leave and they seemed to have gotten better. But coach said the transfer market is something that you have to consider. Weber said Gene Keady always used to say if you want to stay in the business, you better be flexible. Weber learned a lot from him. It doesn't mean you give in on your principles and beliefs, but the world and the sport changes, so flexible is something you have to be.

- The biggest thing coach has learned this season is patience. Says we all need each other, be there for each other and help each other. Coached has tried to be there for his players. Coach knows it has been tough on the fans. Patience, hope, and the need for love for everybody are as important in the world as they ever have been before. Coach hopes we get through these tough times and things go back to normal. Coach did say that one good thing that came out of this year and all of its obstacles is it has humbled society. Coach hopes that is one thing that doesn't go back to normal. He believes everyone should enjoy life and live it everyday.

- Coach says the season has taken a toll on Iowa State like it has K-State. Weber mentioned how the Cyclones have played many tough teams in the league really close. They have had their pit-falls, just like K-State has had, but just beating Iowa State a couple months ago isn't enough. If they don't come ready to play tomorrow, they'll lose. Coach says defense will be really important.
