Stokes and DJ came up BIG at the charity stripe to end the game with making 6 straight free throws. Turns out the CATS needed every one of them.

Had they missed one or two or three, I’m sure there would have been more than one post about how they choked. Ultimately, it would have been Weber’s fault…ha ha.

I believe it was Stokes, who missed some critical free throws late in the game against TT that likely would have been the difference in the game, but Kamua definitely came through big time last night.
Stokes had two miserable games in a row before last night… the Cats need him to play well.

Now before you get all worked up over my post, as I type, I believe Weber should be fired.
But I also believe Weber has a chance to save his job for another year (like it or not).

“IF” K-State qualifies for the NCAA tourney and wins 1 or more games in the Tourney, I believe Bruce will live to coach another year at K-State (highly probable).
“IF” K-State makes the NCAA tourney and loses a first round game, I believe Bruce should be fired (IMO). Not sure he will be, but I would vote for the AX.

Lets be honest, had you asked K-State fans before the season began if K-State makes the NCAA tourney should Bruce keep his job, I believe the majority of K-State fans would have said yes.

But then came February. February was absolutely BRUTAL and now the vast majority of K-State fans want Weber fired (rightfully so, it was ugly... especially losing at home time and time again).

But "IF" K-State does make the NCAA tourney and wins 1 (or more) games, what should the AD do? Under this scenario, the Cats will have finished with a 19 & 12 regular season record (8 & 10).
Compared to last season 17 & 16 (5 & 13).

Not great progress, but still a measurable improvement.
The basketball team went from not even making the NIT tourney to the NCAA tourney and even winning a game. I got to believe it would be hard for any AD to fire a coach under these circumstances.

Maybe Texas Tech will beat K-State on Saturday and end all of this crazy talk (or not).

Memory Lane: Wefald talked Weiser into letting Jim Woolrdige coach one more year (a lot of fans did not like this decision). Had that not happened, K-State does not hire Huggins.

You just never know the twists and turns in life. In short, "IF" Weber gets the CATS to the tourney and saves his job and then disappoints next year, maybe there will be a far better candidate this time next year (or not). Or maybe Weber surprises us all and K-State has another good year.

LASTLY, if K-State fails to make the NCAA tourney, I believe Weber should be let go and let Lowry coach the team in the NIT tourney.

A whole lot of "IF"s in this post.
