As coaches get fired and recruits perhaps cast their gaze towards different landing spots, a few names that could potentially make sense for the Cats. Trying my best to target positions of potential need or possible staff interest.
Alex Orji, QB, Virginia Tech commitment- Has a lot of good offers, many from programs that have since received a commitment. Good size and appears to at least have a solid arm. If and when Fuente is let go, perhaps the Cats can convince him to stay closer to home? Klein and Lillie do follow him on twitter.
Tai Newhouse, DT, Tulsa commitment- Was receiving interest and may have been close to an offer when he opted to take the offer from Tulsa. Sounds like the Tulsa coach is done, so perhaps Kansas kid, position of need could help add the big body kid.
Trevon McAlpine, DT, former TCU commitment- Offered and recruited by Cats, chose TCU. Has recently reopened recruitment. My guess is he opts for West Virginia but hey, worth a shot?
Cade McConnell, OT, TCU commitment- From Oklahoma, if Cats want to add another lineman, could he make sense?
Grant Page, WR, Nebraska commitment- Does Nebraska keep Frost if they go 3-9 or 4-8? If/when Frost goes, Cats were right there with Page before. Can they get him on a second try?
