When I watched OU get beat last week, I said to my brother, "I don't think they're as bad as they played against Texas." But is K-State as bad as they played against OU? The issues have already been marked out in other threads. I was troubled by the inability to tackle in the open field. In addition, receivers appeared to lack the quickness/moves to get open.
Which way will the wind blow on Saturday? Strong has to persuade his guys that the Cats are not as bad as they played against OU. Even though Texas beat OU, I'm not ready to conclude that they generally have that level of toughness. They've experienced enough failure in the past few years that they're still shaking free of the demons. You can get the upper hand, especially if you do it early.
Question is: will K-State flounder in the wake of the drubbing? Or will they be dialed in? I think K-State will be dialed in with a new plan of attack. They're not as bad as they played on Saturday.
