This was a post from the Wildcat Salute! Facebook page earlier this morning:
"Less than 24 hours ago Dean Wade and one of the BB managers were going to breakfast and when they stopped to turn were struck from behind. The driver of the car was apparently texting and was going 40 MPH. Neither Dean or the manager had serious injuries and is expected to play tonite. Guess Dean's neck and back are pretty sore. Let's say some prayers that he will get loosened up enough to be effective tonite!EMAW"
I can confirm the accident did happen. It took place yesterday as the car was headed to training table and was at a complete stop waiting to turn into the parking lot. The car had Jaron Randle, a basketball manager, and freshmen Dean Wade, Barry Brown and Dante Williams in it.
There were no serious injuries, as the original post indicated, and both Wade and Brown went through practice Tuesday and are expected to play tonight against No. 21 Baylor. Williams is obviously not playing as he is recovering from foot surgery. Randle was seen at the manager's game last night.
