All of us as KSU fans are disappointed about the mbb season but shouldn't be really. WE all knew this would be a hard year and we would finish conference with a very bad record. All any of you have to do is go back to what you posted last May, July and so forth. Many including I had the team winning no more than 12 to 15 games.
Now the reason they won't fire Weber is because it won't solve anything next year. If we fire him now, Sneed will not come. Love will not come. They were recruits by this staff. They will ask for their release. Diarra simply will not sign. We already have one open schollie. I suspect Freeman will transfer. That means we will have 5 scholarships to give. Stokes and Brown are East Coast kids. They likely will transfer after next year if new coach doesn't fit their liking. So we lose them and we know Ervin, Iwundu and DJ are gone after next year. If that scenario were to happen, new coach would have to a 2nd year in a row recruit 5 more schollies!! So in essence, 10 new players in less than a 2 year span. Complain all we want and desire of Underwood or anyone else but no one coming in would give us a quick fix or Ncaa bound for at least 3 to 4 years with the above.
I don't care for Weber either. But if we do not want to be TOTALLY screwed, it be best to keep Weber for 1 more year and what happens happens. But firing him now will set us back at least 3 to 5 years, more the latter.
