Bryant's Christian Brothers team is destroying Columbia (Mo.) Hickman 51-7 at the half. Bryant's day started off rather rough with a fumble on the first drive, but he immediately made amends taking a kickoff back 80-85 yards down to the three-yard line and setting up CBC's first score. He scored his first touchdown late in the first quarter, shaking free from a tackle at the line of scrimmage and then exploding 32 yards to the end zone. That has been about it as CBC has scored several times on special teams and there have not been many sustained offensive possessions. The CBC coach was already subbing out his starters at the end of the first half, so we may not see much more of Bryant today.

Bryant is not the biggest back, but he runs with a low center of gravity and that allows him to be effective when he did run between the tackles. He appears more quick than fast, getting to top speed in an instant. He was tracked down on the long kickoff return, but I was field level and couldn't tell if he was caught or the defender just had an angle on him. As I said, didn't get to see a lot because this game got out of hand so early.
