Here are my obvious observation's from 2015

- Dang, our defense was BAD

- Some posters here were convinced that our defense would be a team strength in 2015, I vehemently disagreed

- Even with the rash of injuries facing prolific offenses, I never envisioned giving up yds & points at that clip!

- CB's...TURN AROUND!!!!

- Everyone loves to bash Tom Hayes, and he's never been a guru in my book....but what, schematically, could anyone have done with our personnel on the field?

- Close losses to TCU & oSu were extremely frustrating but close wins over La Tech, Iowa State, and WVU were also satisfying in a frustrating season

- Another blowout loss to OU at home was flat out embarrassing

- Rolling into Lawrence and handing the Chickens another embarrassing defeat on their turf never gets old, ever

- Our offensive line still is extremely inconsistent run blocking and consistently struggles at pass blocking, this is a recurring theme from years past

- Speaking of inconsistent, offensive play calling anyone?

- We actually have 2 offensive coordinators

- One was a successful part of building Snyder 1.0, and a damn good head coach at Wyoming.

- The other was Del Miller, in case anyone forgot

- Winston Dimel is a damn good ball player, anyone that refutes that is an asshat

- A lack of quality receivers limited this offense just as much as I anticipated

- Joe Hubener still isn't sure which team he's supposed to throw the ball to

- Joe Hubener, though limited in ability and void of surrounding talent at WR, did carry the team to a bowl and played gritty football

- Kody Cook is a receiver, not a QB, but give him credit for doing what he could!

- The return game was stellar, once again

- Kick/punt coverage was lacking at times, once again

- This team and this coaching staff never gave up

- Credit is deserved for clawing to 6 wins

- I think our coaching staff needs to have a healthy mix of old, seasoned, program mainstays and younger, new-blood, innovative coaches. In the latter years of Joe Pa, Tom Osborne, Bobby Bowden, those coaching staffs had a well-proportioned mix of energy, experience, consistency, and new ideas

- Losing bowl games to power programs is nothing to be embarrassed over. It's better than being a perennial cellar-dweller or playing a scrub in some mid-December bowl matchup

- A shout-out to the fans who stuck with this team throughout the season, especially those who stay for all 4 quarters!
