the more I think about it .
I think Currie might see Bruce as a way to grab autonomy over the hiring of the next football coach. Everybody here has heard the rumors about what a control freak Currie is. Its very possible that he sees Bruce as a chance to exert control over the next hire. By sticking with Bruce he's standing by his guy and if Bruce can turn this around it affords him currency to have the control I'm sure he wants over the next hire. If and when Bruce fails he can sell the idea he stood by his guy and has "conviction".. I know that coach Snyder wants to be more involved this next time he steps away but nothing I've heard about his relationship with Currie makes me think that's a warm idea for either party.
Politically I think the decision to keep Bruce is calculated and makes sense for Currie, I just genuinely believe its going to backfire on him .
