First of all, the title, "Cyclone players talk K-State", doesn't really fit the article.
The questions and player quotes are really about the disappointment of losing to Okie State and winning the last "two" games.
In fact, K-State is only mentioned by name twice in the player quotes.
Here is a sentence from one of the player's quotes that K-State is mentioned, "That's the one thing I keep thinking about as I'm trying to move on to Kansas State". Trying ?
I guess I'm just looking for another reason to believe that K-State will get it done this Saturday...ha.
Though it certainly seems like the Iowa State players are having a hard time shaking off the disappointing loss to Okie State, while focusing on K-State = advantage K-State.
Iowa State's chance for a bowl game also disappeared when the Clones loss to Okie State.
OU slaughtered K-State, but I believe two disappointing losses in a row (Okie State & TCU) sucked some of the wind and certainly confidence out K-State before facing OU.
Of course Hubener getting knocked silly and K-State not being able to pass the ball (well, except to OU players) and no defense, also had something to do with the wood shed beating ...ha.
GO CATS !
