Know it's been discussed in the past but going to express my concerns none the less and hope the spring game allieviates the concerns.

Okay, we have Jordan Willis as the #1 DE and Marquel Bryant as the opposite end. What else do we have? I know there isn't much substitution on the line, which frustrates me to no end - no pun intended - and to be honest costs us at the end of games due to players being tired and a lack of pass rush but who else is there? Is anyone else surprised at our lack of recruitment at this position? We have the juco kid coming in, who is coming off of shoulder injury. Tanner Wood but not hearing much about him during spring drills. Daniel Davis, who I admit I know minimal about. And hearing Matt Seiwert who plays both DT and DE.

My thoughts -
1st and 2nd downs - DEs are Willis and Bryant
Pass rushing downs - Elijah Lee and unnamed LB with Willis and Bryant moving in to DT...which honestly scares me because that means the true DEs never leave the field. Much needed depth at DE right now particularly if there is an injury which is a physically demanding position and likely to happen...ugh!

Please don't consider this a "whining" post but one for honest discussion. Perhaps we just missed on recruits but I thought there would have been more emphasis on bringing DEs/pass rushers in. Maybe coaches are happier than we are or they were surprised by the transfers (Derricott, Riddle, and Clinkscale) but I have to think they knew what was coming based off of GPC posters thoughts. I honestly think our defensive secondary will be a strength this year but it may not matter if we can't muster a pash rush of any kind. (Might be like the 04-05 years where we lost games on the last series/plays of the year.) Truly hope not and see a lot of potential but want to encourage discussion and people identify areas/players I might have missed. EMAW!
