I've waited to see something that talks about or addresses the elephant in the room and that was the Defensive performance Sat. against Texas and maybe it's in another thread and I missed it so sorry if that is the case. How did the defense as a unit look so solid & the strength of this team, great at tackling against TCU as example and could be argued were nails against Oklahoma St. in a loss and would really say were excellent in the first half last week against Baylor, suddenly become what they were Sat. and maybe could say it started second half last week? Did something happen at halftime last week, that made the kids on Defense decide they were done and didn't want to play anymore? I find it very troubling that a coach would come out and just make the excuse of lack of available players or whatever else was said, because it's BS and makes me lose respect built up for a coach that I had up to this point, total loss of credibility! I was at the game and to the most part the same guys that have played all year were there on the D line, the same LB's played in Fletcher & Green and Justin H. added back, most guys at cb were in the mix all year, so really the only position missing guys was safety, though Elder who has played most of the year was out there much to the fans frustration with his play. My point is regardless of what excuse coach made, it wasn't the scout team out there playing Defense on Sat.
It almost looks like from the second half of Baylor game last week and full game Sat. against Texas that Defense just quit and when you add in the number of kids in the transfer portal another today most all from the Defensive side of the ball, there is something going on way more than the superficial, BS excuses we have heard up to this point? I still bought and paid for tickets to every game this year and already have prepaid tickets for next year, but I can't watch what I saw Sat. or even find a way to justify? The coaches want us to go along with everything and blame covid, the kids and the crazy world was 2020 and just say nothing to see here and I'm sorry but I can't. Maybe I'm the only person pissed off about this last half of the season and the player runoff and the questions that come from it and the coaches just getting a free pass!
