I plan to re-watch the spring game, but just some initial thoughts about the back-up QB.

Both QBs have good running skills (no doubt that Alex & Skylar are dual threat QBs).
Alex has very good speed, which is always a bonus (regardless of position).
Small sample size for Skylar, but he displayed some flashes of being a very effective runner.

I thought Alex made some good passes, minus the two INTs.
No question that Alex has the abilty to effectively pass the football (despite reports that he is not a good passer).

My biggest concern about Alex was that he stared down his wide receivers ... major telegraphing. And we are talking a Spring Game. I don't remember Alex ever dropping back and looking to one side of the field and then coming back to the other side to make a pass.
It's easy for a pass defender to read the pass play when the QB telegraphs his passes ( a defender will be licking his chops).
Alex needs to work on looking off defenders and avoid telegraphing.
And if the primary receiver is covered, does Alex have ability to go to his #2 option, or is he going to tuck it and run ?

I was really impressed with Skylar. I thought the purple team was very fortunate to hold the white team to two FGs early in the game. Then I thought Skylar started to press things in the second half and got a little out of sync. It also didn't help that he was sharing time with Hall. By the way, Hunter Hall didn't look half bad (better than Bazooka Joe ? Probably).

I was disappointed that Skylar didn't get a series or two with the 1st team. Don't know if Snyder was wanting to make it crystal clear that Alex was the #2 QB or if that's just the way things worked out.

Again, I need to re-watch the spring game... maybe I will feel a little differently.

I believe Alex and Skylar are capable of leading the offense if called upon, that said, there is absolutely ZERO doubt that Jesse Ertz is the starting QB.
Here's hoping that Jesse makes a full recovery and excels in summer work-outs.
