The Dems (about 10 years too late) got all up in arm's over the child separation issue. Now that it's been somewhat rectified by Executive Order, they're now continuing their outrage by going after this Administration's "No Tolerance" policy in regards to immigration enforcement.
The Dems have had me scared for the last 6 months that they would retake both the House and Senate during the mid-terms. If they continue down this path of essentially calling for completely open borders, they're going to blow the chance of taking back control of Congress. The child separation issue was pretty widely supported on a bi-partisan basis. The vast majority of Americans were against the policy back when it came to the fore-front under Obama, and continued under Trump. Same dynamic with DACA, in that the majority of Americans do not believe in deporting people brought here as children years earlier.
However.............the majority of Americans do not believe in an open border policy, where captured illegal immigrants are just set free and asked to merely "show up" for a court hearing (which they never do). The Republicans have got these imbeciles playing right into their hands. When you can't point to the economy as a reason to kick out the majority, you just have to hang your hat on an issue that not even the majority of the country supports. You just have to do it. Amazing.
Good luck in November Dems, if this is your platform.
