Derek, although u have been employed with this sight just recently, u do such a good job, it’s like U’ve been around forever. I’ve been on the rivals sight since 98, or whatever Fitz started with, anyway, remained here for rivals whenever it started.
What KSU typically does is sign between 20-22, and leave room for late qualifiers and walk ons. They have never really filled a whole class, and u know why already. However, they have landed some good players late, even NFL players like LB Zach Diles and WR James Terry, former Auburn commit from the juco ranks....also, and this most important....since EVERY OTHER program in the country has tried to dip their toes into the Snyder philosophy of juco recruiting, we have see a lot less. Having said that, DJ REED, and one new DT from Coffeyville juco, were Frosh juco signees, ie qualifiers out of HS, but maybe redshirted a year and have 3 to play 3.
U might check ur sources about KSU talking to any of those prospects at LB. if there a juco frosh, qualified out of HS, and can play this level, they typically will find them. U might do a segment on juco frosh players that were qualified out of HS, currently frosh who might be candidates. Will take some phone calls and talking to several juco coaches, but it would be intriguing if there is another Zach Diles out there.
Thx for what u do!
