I raised the question a while back about why Newton did not have a rating.
Not even 2 stars, despite having offers from two Power 5 schools - K-State & Virginia.
I was also curious if Newton was a risk to qualify or his level of play simply did not interest other schools.
Additionally, I asked why Leveston only had 2 stars and suggested had he decomitted from K-State and signed with Texas, he would have immediatly been given 3 stars (heck, maybe 4...ha).
One of the KSO fellas replied, something about - Rivals would not update the ratings until such & such time.
Leveston has been given a third star, Newton is still without.
Note: Newton has 3 stars on 247Sports.
I know = who cares about star ratings (particularly if you're a K-State fan), but still, give the man some love...ha ha.
