The HS version of March Madness starts Thursday with the top 8 HS teams battling towards a NC. I will be there again this year to watch Oak Hill defend their title, and you all can tune in on ESPNU on Thursday first round and on ESPN2 thereafter.
Unfortunately, Bruce Weber is widely believed to be in his last season yet again this season, so we have no recruits playing. You can however tune in and watch the two top BXII recruits playing for Oak Hill. 5 star PF Billy Preston, KU commit, as well as #49 player Lindell Wiggington (guard) who is an Iowa State commit.
As I posted last season, Oak Hill's Khadim Sy, who we lost on the final recruiting day to VT, personally told me he chose VT because every coach recruiting him told him Weber would not last 2 more seasons. He really wanted to come to K-State. Sy is the kid that hit the winning shot last year to win the NC. He coached my youngest son at Oak Hill's 15U elite camp. My son has been offered a 2018 scholarship at Greensboro Day who is also in the Dick's tourney, but he is holding out for a scholarship offer from Oak Hill. I only mention this because I have gotten to know the Oak Hill staff and HC Smith quite well during this process and they have been very honest with me, that they expect that K-State will be in a better recruiting position next year once we get a new staff.
Take it for whatever it's worth, but please do watch so you can see how good the available talent is, and so you will be a lot less tolerant of the shit show that is Bruce Weber.
