Over the past 10 years we've had eight 20-win seasons and then these last two .500 seasons. Our best season, 2009-2010, we shot .502 in 2-pointers and .379 in 3-pointers in non-league games for an overall average of .463. League play only was: .479, .336 and .432.

Our second best year, 2012-2013, was actually not a good non-league shooting year: .450, .329 and .414 but really picked up in league play: .496, .389 and .457. I know we haven't played that great of a schedule this year but I sense that we are scoring easier from inside the 3-point line than we have in many of these past 10 years and wondered if that is any kind of a predictor for the potential of this team as it goes into league play. Right now we are at .548 in 2-pointers. .388 in 3-poointers for an overall of .490.

What do you think? Could this be our best shooting team or is this all meaningless?

Just to compare to a very good team that underachieved, the 2007-2008 Beasley/Walker team shot .508 in non-league games, .290 from 3-point for an overall of .441, then went .496, .345 and .446 in league games.
