I got to watch Skyler Thompson play against the high school I work at, Park Hill, last week. To put it bluntly we got schooled. He was everything a four star qb should be. He was quick on his feet making several really nice runs. He had touch on his passes, completing several for touchdowns. He did this against a team that had only lost once and that was to Blue Springs South by a touchdown in the season opener. I did not think anyone could do that to us but Thompson did and at Park Hill. His performance made me leave the game smiling thinking about his future at K-State.
Several of us that were watching commented that we felt Thompson looked much better than Drew Lock when Lock played against us his senior year last year. Thompson is far more mobile and a much bigger threat to take off and run. Lock just moved to give himself time to throw.
I figure if Delton could come in and get some playing time this year. Don't count out Thompson being able to next year.
