As reported on Sunday, Elijah Pemberton is on K-State's campus for an official visit, and will be in town until Tuesday, to my knowledge. Assistant coach Chester Frazier is the one recruiting the 6-foot-3 shooting guard the most right now. Pemberton is currently a 2016 prospect, but, also to my knowledge, there is a chance he reclassifies for 2015. If anything, though, with some official visits still available, this could be a head start for 2016.
At the end of the day, K-State probably should fill this last scholarship, but if, and only if, it can be someone that can come in and compete and fits the needs. I think finding an additional scorer won't hurt. I will be keeping tabs with this these next couple of days and hope to have an update about the visit in the middle of the week.
------------
UPDATE:
From everything I've heard, the visit went well, but Pemberton did not commit. I think it's safe to say that the staff is being very careful about this and is solely about finding the absolute right fit for this year. Plus, there's a good chance that the 6-foot-3 guard stays classified for 2016. I'll see what else I can dig up, but this is the start.
