Has interviewed for the running backs job at K-State and is in the negotiation stages, a source said Sunday. At the moment, nothing has been finalized. Hickson, the former K-State standout who is currently coaching running backs at Akron, is believed to be one of two finalists for the position.

Speculation persisted a possible candidate was former K-State player and assistant coach Michael Smith, but a source indicated all has gone quiet on that front after some initial activity.
