Here are ESPN's post-spring position rankings, with the pre-spring ranking in parentheses-
DB: 1 (1)
LB: 8 (8)
DL: 2 (2)
OL: 2 (2)
QB: 4 (3)
RB: 4 (6)
WR: 8 (5)
We could nitpick these all to death, as some are likely too high and others too low, but I just had a handful of thoughts:
-I must admit that it feels good to have 3 of our 4 lowest rankings on units that I feel really good about (QB, RB, WR)
-Walker has to come in and dominate that safety spot if we are going to live up to that DB rank; Shelley has to fix his issues as well, but I think Walker securing that spot goes a long way in helping out Duke
-We need one or two of Patton / Sullivan / Hughes to step up and give us some speed at LB if we want to move up that list
-WR was a my only real head-scratcher, as he seemed to downgrade us significantly for the departure of Sutton, saying it hurt our depth; the whole reason Sutton left was because of our depth. I'm not sure I've felt this good about our WR corps as a group in a long time
