Thought about putting it in the Portal Transfer Thread, but didn't want to muddy that up since this is slightly off topic. Think there is enough merit to start its own thread. Here are some Observations in regards to Coaches and how active they are with the transfer portal.
Klanderman: Most active. Seems like he's spearheading all the Defensive Targets.
Anderson: Very active even before his position group needed to add someone. He has his hands in a lot of cookie jars on offense and defense.
Stanard. Surprisingly Klanderman's right hand man as they are looking to add another LB.
Malone: I think he is overrated in KSU circles for his recruiting. I get the sense that his comfort zone is in-person, and driving around to all the DFW area schools. Since covid, I feel like his recruiting has dropped off a canyon.
Riley: He has done a great job with his high school guys. Really has no need to add via portal. He also doesn't seem to jump in on other guys like Anderson though. Super well liked by his players and guys he targets, so I'm good with him the way he is.
Wyatt: Does a little here and there via transfer portal. Not as active and successful recruiting as I thought he'd be coming in. He and Malone were supposed to spearhead our TX recruiting, and we have failed at that. Has done such a great job developing our D-ends though.
Collin Klein: DY said he's fine. Your avg recruiter. I like to see him do more though, especially after an OC title. I'd like to see him get more involved with local guys on D and O like Anderson, but he hasn't.
TUI: DEAD WEIGHT: I check his twitter multiple times a day for the past 2 months. He adds all the top guys that transfer out from the West Coast. Absolutely none of it materializes into anything. He was supposed to be our West Coast recruiter. He doesn't do a very good job at that.
