Have observed several games on TV (either live or on tape replay). The field is really looking bad. Have talked to a couple of ex-players who have walked the field this year. They say the fibers are bent over (shortening their height) and allowing the black rubber pellets to show through. This is especially noticeable between the thirties. I am told it is not fixable. Is there a plan to replace??? It sure looks like a muddy field with the black showing through.
