I flip to the various news sites
MSNBC, nothing , not a word at 8:00 E
NBC , nothing
CNN and ABC have is splashed all over , not calling it potential Islamic terror
MSNBC TV, experts calling a "disturbed individual"
NYT at 8:30e, no mention of the FBI quote
FAR and away the most direct and informative piece I could find at some 4 or 5 hours after the act comes from the foreign press w quotes from the FBI and LE on the scene as 'leanings to radical Islamic terrorism', others were scrubbing the news for what can only be called a politically motivated intent to mislead and shape the narrative
