Our Football Non Conference schedule next year will be no joke. We are scheduled to play Nevada (who is pretty good and *should* return most of their top players), and Stanford, who hasn’t been great this year, but is still Stanford. We are also scheduled to play Southern Illinois, who is a quality 1-AA team, but since they are playing in the Spring, I’m not sure if they will still play us week 1, like was planned. I’m guessing not.

Either way, our Non Con isn’t going to give us any easy victories as it appears now. If we don’t pick up a few of those wins, we might be looking at a pretty rough record again next year.

However, our Big 12 schedule is actually favorable next year. We play 5 games at home (OU, TCU, Baylor, ISU and WVU) and our 4 road games include one at ku, then at Texas, OSU and Tech.

At this moment, I’m not overly optimistic about our team next year, after we crash-landed at the end of the season. But if we can weather the Non Con and improve from this year, the Big 12 slate could treat us better than this season did.

ISU and OSU will definitely be down. Texas might slip replacing Ehlinger. OU will be awesome. But the rest of the conference just seems pretty average.
