VA. I didn`t notice the legislation until you called it to my attention. Of what I have seen it is probably a good thing. When we moved to AZ. some 15 years ago I used to go to the main VA in Phoenix. There was literally 3 city blocks of parking available to VA patients. Today 2 of the blocks have new VA buildings on them and 1 block for parking. Additionally, a new VA building complex has been established in the East valley. I have been there several times for blood tests and to get prescriptions renewed. If I have something serious, I let my other civilian doctors handle it. For instance, hip replacement and back operations all in the past 4 years.
I have always felt guilty about going to the VA because I don`t have any service connected disability and the poor guys I see there really are needy. I have never wanted my care to interfere with the guys who are largely down and out because they were patriots. Pills are dispensed on a telephone message system.
So to sum it up, the VA is servicing far more patients than they did in 2002. they deserve our support and maybe Trump has the right answer. We will wait and see. Will this overtax our private health system, again we will have to wait and observe. Personally, I hope this is a better solution as these poor veterans deserve better than they have been getting!
