Here is a tiger fan's post that summarizes their starting QB situation. I know many could care less - please, don't bother to comment. But some here may be interested.
1. Mauk was caught by the staff doing something in violation of team rules and that is not legal. However, no law enforcement is involved.
2. It wasn't the first time.
3. Fellow players played a role in bringing the behavior to the attention of AD and staff personnel.
4. Mauk hasn't done what is required to rejoin the team. Mauk may not be interested in rejoining the team. Pinkel may not be interested in Mauk rejoining the team.
5. Mauk will likely transfer to a new school at semester and be immediately eligible to play next season.
We, MU fan, don't need to know exactly what happened and we likely never will. I know I've heard basically the same version from at least 3 different sources, none of whom know eachother. Likely the truth falls short of the rumors but there is still too much smoke for there not to be some fire.
