All joking aside, I've been to a huge amount of funerals in the last year with the most recent being last Saturday, for my uncle, who is the third male in my family to die of cancer this year alone.
I enjoyed it, as it was the first I've been to where the person was a member of the armed forces. The Navy did a great little ceremony at the end that was different to watch.
But here's my line of thinking, I want my funeral to be a celebration of how badass I was. I don't want people sitting around sad, I want them excited to have known me and to be happy that they're around other people they care about.
With traditional funerals, a few hymns are common, but I'm considering writing up a death plan that goes a different way completely. Have been telling my wife all weekend that I've already got the two songs picked out that I was played at my funeral, anyone else have any strange thoughts like this?
