People say we don't have any weapons. We have at least one weapon, CHARLES JONES! In Big 12 play Charles Jones has touched the ball 37 times and on those 37 plays we have gained 287 yards. In Big 12 play our offense is gaining an average of 7.76 yards every time Jones touches the ball. He is averaging 5.97 yards on the ground and the one time Hubener connected with him through the air it went for 72 yards and damn near won us the TCU game.
When Jones does not touch the ball our offense stinks! We our averaging 3.56 yards per play in Big 12 play when you take away Jones's production. For perspective, Boston College has the worst offense in the nation (based on yards per play) and they are averaging 3.6 yards per play.
With our weakness at QB and WR we need to emphasize the running backs. Jones needs 20 carries per game and Silmon needs 10 more. The RBs need 30 carries a game. They are currently averaging 15.5 carries per game. Give them the ball! Less QB runs. Less FB runs. More Charles Jones.
