Does anyone watch Gold Rush? Is the Hoffman crew taking a page out of Bill Snyder's page in how they run their operation?
You have Jack Hoffman who is like coach. Always giving inspirational quotes, striving to get better every day, etc. Then you have Todd Hoffman who is Jack's son and we can consider similar to Sean Snyder. Part of the family business, doesn't have much experience with gold mining but tries his hardest to lead the team which includes a more experienced gold mining crew than him. Dave shows signs of a leader but sometimes he makes poor decisions (Dimel). He left the Hoffman crew once, only to come back.
After every cleanup, they wait until Jack comes out of the building and they all are around the fire with their #family (wives, children, etc.) waiting to get the news on how much gold they got for the week. I see it.
Now back to enjoying my whiskey. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
