I know we have had a discussion of common core before, but I am still seeing so many old people complain about it. How is common core truly effecting your life? Can you really not help your kids with their homework because you don't understand how to do mental math? I am honestly just trying to get an understanding of what the outrage is all about. I was always mad in school where teachers told me I had to show my work for stupid problems they thought were hard that I would do in my head. Why do I have to carry over a 1?
