I have a new F150 and a new Expedition, both of which have this "enhanced park assist" feature that parallel parks for you. The dealership told me it would be a bit unnerving the first time I use it, as it really whips in fast to the parallel spot and can make it in very tight quarters.
Finally trusted enough to use it yesterday. The damn thing zipped right in to the spot, and then proceeded to slam in to the minivan parked on the rear.
No damage to my truck, but did a number on the front bumper of the van.
Damn defective technology.
