My first time was one year ago in Wash DC. Used Black Car. Wasn't familiar with the idea and thought it rather amazing. Several months later I was in Denver and my hotel was a mile away from my conf so I tried itagain by myself. Quick service, clean car, nice young college guy driving. Told him what time I would be done and he met me there on time. So, I've used it three times and each was such a pleasant contrast to the typical depressing, sullen, dirty, in a hurry foreign drivers. I felt like I was experiencing the future at that moment and the traditional taxi model could not survive. Local and state governments should out of this issue and let the market place sort it out. I'm fine with nsurance requirements and perhaps a license but the taxi model shouldn't be protected.
