An issue that's been simmering to a boil for awhile (decades, I'm sure) is high schools recruiting and the rules surrounding it. We live in a district that essentially has open enrollment, as long as you live in boundary you can attend any of the schools. If you transfer, you need to sit out varsity for 16 weeks.

My take on this is to strengthen transfer rules within district to 1 year. I'd also create a separate conference for private schools. If they don't want to adhere to the same rules, it can be adjusted. I'm interested to hear all thoughts and opinions on this topic. This is not just a public vs private issue.
