An old note repeated: HCBS would have hated not being able to send plays in from the sidelines. Also maybe not the religious emphasis this article talks about, but he would have been right at home with Stagg's approach to football and character. I'm willing to bet that at least some of the 16 rules were in his notes.

Oh yes, I had a friend who played against one of the deaf schools way back. They had a big drum right on the line of scrimmage booming out the snap count. Wonder if that guy was on scholarship?
