Also maybe not the religious emphasis this article talks about, but he would have been right at home with Stagg's approach to football and character. Oh yes, I had a friend who played against one of the deaf schools way back. They had a big drum right on the line of scrimmage booming out the snap count. Wonder if that guy was on scholarship?
