Hey everyone, sorry for the off-topic post, but I'm at my wits end w/ our home internet. I get the standard "it's your router" from the ISP and the "it's your ISP" from the router company. I'm to the point where I even considered bringing the geek squad in to do a home evaluation ... that's how desperate I am.

I have Cox for my ISP, and my router is a Asus AC1200. If I'm in the same room as my router everything is fine ... if I walk down the hallway to our bedroom, my laptop will work but my wife's loses connectivity half the time ... and I'll even lose signal from time to time. I've upgraded my modem in the last six months, and have gone thru a Belkin, Linksys and now Asus AC routers in the last six months and none of them give me the speed and connection we used to get. That leads me to believe it's not the routers.

Any advice or suggestions would be very much appreciated ... I've tried every basic troubleshooting method I've been told or can think of. Thanks in advance ...
