Just curious what the take is of those who have seen other facilities as to how Vanier compares to other facilities in terms of accommodations (NOT how the building looks from the outside). Hopefully it helps recruits start to appreciate Kstate as a legit D-1 program, because they tend to put an inordinate amount of weight on facilities and unis.
As much as I embrace and relate to the Kstate "underdog" mentality, and totally acknowledge how well it has worked under Snyder, I think we have to turn the corner if we are going to have success after he leaves. I'm tired of in-state kids looking at Kstate as a fallback school, and I think this is a huge step in changing that perception. This definitely ups the "cool" factor of going to kstate.
I do believe Kstate also benefits from the hardworking nature of all the Midwest farmboys and the general Kansan mentality, but the likelihood that we hire another top 5 or 10 coach nationally and keep him for 25 years is astronomically low. Therefore, we need to make progress in other areas to make up for that inevitable drop in coaching ability.
