I mentioned he was like generic Iowa QB's (and someone correctly reminded me about Ricky Stanzi, who I had been thinking about...), but he reminded me of another Big Ten QB who I couldn't put my finger on.
Well, it hit me last night. It was Jim Sorgi.
Now, I'm not talking about rushing. He's obviously in a different class. But I honestly believe he's as good of a passer as Stanzi and Sorgi. When I look at their highlights compared to Ertz's, I personally feel it's really similar. Very similar in the case of Sorgi.
Anyway, decide for yourself.
