that when evaluating next year, we are evaluating how Weber and team does compared to what our expectations are for the program, not by how he is projected to do by the media and/or coaches. I would bet money we will be picked to finish 8th or worse next year based on what other teams have coming back and coming in. Finishing 7th when preseason picked to finish 9th should not be a basis to say he had a good season. Our expectations should be at a minimum top 5 in the conference and having success in the NCAA tourney every so often. Losing close games are not moral victories, but instead a habit of a poor program. I sincerely hope he has success, but based on who he has committed and who he is going after sans Smith, my confidence is not great. I wish we could get creative like ISU has done with getting top quality transfers to come in until we get our program competing at a high level. I suspect more players are drawn to playing in a NBA isolation offense as opposed to having a coach micromanage the motion offense, but, I digress.
